CUSTOM ORDERS

Creating a custom order is how this all began for me. My first ever custom surfboard was a Mencel "Performance Twin Fin" (Thanks Charles!) back in 2016. Before that all I rode were CNC cut, high-performance thrusters. I still love to make and ride that style of surfboard, however, after getting a Mencel fish, my view on surfboards changed forever.

I believe that surfboard shapers offering open platforms of discussion is a great asset to this struggling industry in the USA. Surfers have many questions about surfboards, however, talking to your local surfshop or grumpy old shaper can be intimidating and honest answers are sometimes hard to come by. My goal when creating custom surfboards for new customers is to have open discussions about where you surf the most, your honest skill level, the types of boards you're currently riding, etc.. This information can be a game changer and could take your surfing to that next level.

Customs range anywhere from $800 - $1200 depending on the board construction, size, colors, accessories, etc.. Customs take about 4-6 weeks depending on the time of year to be completely finished. Every time I sign a board it tells the customer that it was 100% hand-shaped by me with a few hand tools and a planer.
